Mr. Umesh Bachu, P.E., is a licensed Professional Engineer with more than 25 years of experience in geotechnical engineering analysis and design, design-build projects, construction materials testing, site investigations, quality control, and project management. He has successfully led numerous complex and technically challenging geotechnical projects in diverse soil conditions, including competent soils, under-consolidated soft soils, expansive and collapsible soils, fractured rock, and engineered fill materials.
His project portfolio spans a wide range of sectors, including commercial, industrial, oil and gas facilities, pipelines, docks, retaining walls, engineered slopes, embankments, educational institutions, and high-rise buildings. Mr. Bachu’s extensive technical expertise and proven leadership help deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective geotechnical solutions.
Mr. Robert Valentine, Nicet Level III, currently serves as Operations Manager at ETI, where he oversees field operations and provides technical support to field technicians. In this role, he is responsible for performing and supervising testing on soils, foundations, concrete, and asphalt, as well as monitoring contractor operations for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
With extensive experience collaborating with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractors, Mr. Robert plays a key role in resolving technical questions and challenges both prior to and during construction. In addition, Mr. Robert manages ETI’s Geotechnical and CMT laboratory operations, ensuring that all testing and reporting adhere to the respective standards of quality and industry best practices. His leadership and technical expertise reinforce ETI’s commitment to safety, integrity, teamwork and excellence.
